A traffic calming construction project will begin in Coldstream next week.

On Monday and Tuesday, August 17 and 18, crews will be installing three speed tables, along with updated signage to reflect the new traffic calming features, along the sharp curve of Kidston Road.

The District of Coldstream undertook a traffic volume and driving behaviour analysis of the area, and identified a need for speed mitigation around the corner to improve driver and resident safety.

The work will go during regular construction hours and line painting will go in the evenings.

Kidston Road will be open with a single, alternating lane during construction, and motorists were asked to slow down, be cautious of workers and equipment, and follow all traffic control measures.
