A fifty-year scenario in which 30,000 new residents could live in the North Glenmore area is being considered by the City of Kelowna.
Council has cleared staff to begin the next phase of long term planning that could see about 13,000 new homes built beyond the current growth boundary to the north.
These figures are based on a study of the North Glenmore Sector which suggests growth near the airport and Lake Country.
The study area will be evaluated before any detailed resource-intensive planning is undertaken.
