Local BBQ sauce maker earning more respectable awards 

A local barbecue aficionado has received significant praise for a new sauce.

Vernon-based House of Q earned second place in the International Flavour Awards’ Mustard Sauce Category for their Slow Smoke Gold BBQ Sauce.

“Our first award was in 2007 for Apple Butter and more recently for Five Star BBQ Sauce, but it’s time for Slow Smoke Gold to get some more attention,” stated ‘BBQ Brian’ Misko, owner of House of Q.

“I created it as our competition BBQ slather, and it’s really cool to see it get another award. The judges clearly like this tangy mustard!”
