Touchdown Kelowna brings major tree boost

Jun 11, 2026 | 6:02 AM

The Touchdown Kelowna festival, which sees the BC Lions play two regular season games in town, will include a major green initiative.

The BC Lions and TELUS have announced they’ll plant 20,000 in the Kelowna area.

The Lions organization said they are proud to be leaving that legacy as part of the big event.

The new trees are to help restore areas impacted by wildfire.

Fans can do their part by helping us restore areas of BC impacted by wildfires by purchasing trees today. Use the discount code LIONS to purchase 5 trees for $10 (regular $25) to support reforestation.
