Maintenance at Taft Overhead Bridge to cause delays

Drivers travelling between Sicamous and Revelstoke can expect minor delays today due to scheduled maintenance at the Taft Overhead Bridge.
Work began at 9 a.m. Wednesday, with crews expected to finish by 5 p.m. The bridge, located about 29 kilometres east of Sicamous, will have single-lane alternating traffic in place throughout the day.
Motorists are asked to slow down, stay alert, and follow directions from traffic control personnel.
Officials say the work is routine and necessary to ensure the bridge remains safe for all vehicles.
