NOYFSS’s Anti-Bullying Cupcake Fundraiser returns

The fundraiser that sees cupcakes sold to mark Pink Shirt Day is being run once again.

North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society (NOYFSS) is bringing back its annual anti-bullying cupcake fundraiser. The campaign sees the organization hand out decorated pink “compliment cupcakes” with proceeds going to support local programs that promote kindness, inclusion, and positive youth development.

“Pink Shirt Day reminds us of the power of standing together for kindness,” NOYFSS Executive Director, Dean Francks, said.

“These cupcakes are more than a treat, they each are topped with messages of encouragement and represent our community’s commitment to ensuring all young people feel supported, valued, and included.”

People wishing to purchase the cupcakes for themselves, family members, workplaces, school classes, or community groups can pre-order the sweet treats through the NOYFSS website. The pre-ordered cupcakes can either be delivered or picked up on Feb. 25.

NOYFSS will also sell cupcakes out of its office on 32nd Avenue between 12 and 2 p.m. on Pink Shirt Day.
