Local gas prices down significantly on an annual basis

Gas prices in Vernon have seen a noticable drop over the past 12 months.

GasBuddy, the fuel tracking website, said Vernon’s average price for a litre of regular gasoline was 126.9 cents as of Thursday, Dec.18.

That was down 24.6 cents from the average recorded at the same time in 2024 when the price was 151.5 cents.

GasBuddy did note that the price at the pump in Vernon was up by two cents on a daily basis Thursday, but was down four cents from the week before and had dropped 14 cents since November.
