Portion of 30th St. to close for storm main work Thursday

A few blocks of 30th Street will be temporarily closed for some maintenance work Thursday.

The City of Vernon said the northbound lane of the road would be closed for storm water main work between 30th and 27A Avenue on Dec. 18.

Crews were expected to start the work at 7 a.m. and be done by 4 p.m., barring any unforseen delays.

The city asked motorists to slow down, be cautious, and obey all traffic control signage and personnel when driving through work zones.
