Water Quality Advisory issued for parts of Shannon Lake
The City of West Kelowna has issued a water quality advisory for certain areas of Shannon Lake after an unanticipated mechanical issue affected the local water supply.
Residents in the impacted zones may notice discoloured or turbid water.
The mechanical problem has been fixed, and city crews are taking the required steps to lift the advisory as quickly as possible. Consecutive days of mandatory water testing and passing lab results are needed before normal service can resume.
A bulk water filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith roads remains available as a safe alternative. Residents can fill clean bottles free of charge while the advisory is in effect.
