Pedestrian seriously injured in Kelowna collision

A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle at a busy Kelowna intersection Tuesday evening.

Kelowna RCMP say the crash happened around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Gordon Drive and Leon Avenue. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.

Police say speed, alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the collision.

The investigation is continuing, and RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash camera footage from the area around the time of the crash to contact Kelowna RCMP.
