Supporting Food Banks

Armstrong Regional Co-Op running food drive ahead of the holidays

Dec 16, 2025 | 5:04 PM

Armstrong Regional Co-Op (ARC) is running a food drive to ensure people have meals this holiday season.

The company is encouraging people to make donations of non-perishable food items at its gas stations or liquor stores, with all the food then going to support local food banks.

“With food bank usage in Canada at an all-time high, it’s more important than ever to support children and families in the battle against hunger,” Jason Keis, Armstrong Regional Cooperative’s Marketing & Community Relations Manager, stated.

People who make a donation will be entered into a draw for a $50 gas card. One card will be given away at every site.

The company said it had also donated over $12,000 to food banks in the communities it operates out of ahead of the holidays.

ARC has gas bars in Vernon, Armstrong, Salmon Arm and Cranbrook, and also has liquor stores in Vernon, Kelowna and Revelstoke.
