Progress continues on the Clement Avenue Multi-Modal Corridor Extension, a project designed to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across Midtown Kelowna.
Preliminary designs show the corridor could increase road capacity by 25 to 30 per cent, add new creek crossings, and support future dedicated transit lanes along Highway 97.
This is how the intersection at Clement and Spall will look/ City of Kelowna renderingThe extension will create a fourth east-west route through Midtown and is expected to decrease travel times for commuters, transit, cyclists and pedestrians. Construction is currently targeted for 2028 and 2029, pending funding and final design approvals.
