Mid-rise buildings proposed for Kelowna’s Lower Mission area
City hall has received an application for a nine-storey rental building at the corner of KLO and Holland Roads, just east of Gordon Drive. The proposal seeks to rezone the property from an infill housing designation to allow core area mixed rental use.
The project would include 126 rental units across floors three to nine, featuring 21 studio apartments, 77 one-bedroom units and 28 two-bedroom units. A two-storey parking podium would sit at ground level, along with two commercial spaces for retail or office use.
Developers are also proposing a rooftop amenity area, in addition to shared indoor and outdoor spaces on the third floor. The plan calls for 85 vehicle spaces, including one dedicated to car sharing, and 125 bicycle stalls.
City staff will review the application before it is presented to council for consideration.
