Alexis Park closed for irrigation work

The irrigation system is being replaced at Alexis Park, resulting in a closure.

The work began in early July, and a report to Vernon City Council Monday, Aug. 11, said the ball diamond at the park has now been fully closed to the public.

Signage has been installed to inform the public of the closure needed to do the work that aims to improve water efficiency and support the park’s long-term viability.

The playground remains accessible to the public.
