Coldstream sign to be restored after vandalism incident

The Welcome to Coldstream sign on Kalamalka Lake Road was vandalized.

Someone had used white spray paint on the sign.

The District of Coldstream told Vernon Matters it was informed of the vandalism Tuesday, May 6.

The Publics Works crew assessed the damage and believed that some of the spray paint would come off with specialized graffiti wipes, and what couldn’t be cleaned off would be painted over.

“This will be handled out of operations budget,” the district said in an email to Vernon Matters.

“If there is a more extensive restoration needed, then we will determine cost and funding sources at that time.”

The vandalism was reported to the RCMP.
