Rain closes Vernon, Coldstream sports fields

Sports players have the night off.

The City of Vernon and District of Coldstream closed their outdoor sports fields and ball diamonds Monday, April 28, due to the wet weather.

The local governments said the fields were closed to protect the turf from damage and ensure the long-term quality of the playing surfaces were maintained.

The parks affected by the closures were:

  • DND Park
  • Alexis Park
  • Grahame Park
  • Lakeview Park
  • Marshall Field Park
  • Polson Park
  • MacDonald Park
  • Creekside Park
  • Coldstream Park
  • Lavington Park
