Local pickleballers collect food to feed those in need

Pickleballers showed their support to those in need by contributing to a local food drive this month.
The Vernon Pickleball Association held a food drive throughout December where the group was able to 813 pounds of non-perishable food. The organization also collected toiletries, and donated all of the items to the Salvation Army Food Bank.
This was the fourth year that the Vernon Pickleball Association held its December food drive. Through those efforts, the group has been able to collect and donate a total of 3,942 pounds of food to the cause.
