More addiction recovery beds to open in Lumby

People seeking supports for substance dependance will have more options in the North Okanagan.

Jeniffer Whiteside, the minister of mental health and addictions, will be in Lumby Tuesday, April 15, to announce more treatment and recovery beds opening at the Red Road Recovery facility on Creighton Valley Road.

The province said there would be a new centre opened at the facility that includes service and activity spaces, such as spaces for residents to live, a dining area, and stables for equine therapy.

The province did not say how many new beds would open as part of this expansion.
