Lake Country walk-in clinic expands its hours

The closure of the Sterling Centre walk-in clinic has left many unattached patients scrambling and has put additional stress on the Vernon Jubilee Hospital emergency room.

Now, Evolve Allied Health which operates four clinics in the Central Okanagan including the Turtle Bay Medical Clinic in Winfield, is trying to help. The hybrid clinic has doctors with attached patients and walk-ins.

The company posted on Facebook that it is expanding its capacity to assist North Okanagan residents.

“With the recent closure of Sterling walk-in clinic in Vernon, we have been able to increase walk-in appointment availability at our Lake Country location, Turtle Bay Medical, Monday to Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.”

The company stated on social media. “If you are in need of urgent care, please visit www.medimap.ca for current wait times and either call us at 778-480-6890, or come to the clinic to schedule an appointment.”
