Parking fees could rise at YLW

The long-term parking lots at Kelowna International Airport (YLW) were at capacity on the weekend as Kelowna council considers a plan to raise rates, saying current ones are lower than many other airports such as Vancouver and Quebec City.

For example, the weekly charge would jump to $78.75 from $75, while daily parking would go up 75 cents to $15.75.

The first hour of short and long term would stay at $2, however each additional hour would increase from $3 to $3.25.
