Polls close in Coldstream

The final votes have been cast for the 2022 civic election in Coldstream.

The polls officially closed at 8 p.m.

There are 11 people seeking the six councillor positions in the district including five incumbents.

Citizens have also been casting votes in a referendum to borrow $8.5 million to build a new public works building.

Former Coldstream councillor Ruth Hoyte has already won the mayor’s seat by acclamation. The district’s mayor for 14 years, Jim Garlick, is running for councillor.
