Civic elections 2022

Election results from other North Okanagan communities

Oct 15, 2022 | 8:08 PM

Voters around the North Okanagan have had their say in the 2022 general local elections.

The polls have now closed and the results are being tabulated.

Vernon Matters will provide the results as soon as they are available.

Of particular interest are mayor’s races in Lumby and Enderby after the mayors in Armstrong and Spallumcheen were acclaimed due to having only one candidate.

In Lumby, four term mayor Kevin Acton is being challenged by Brad Weston. Lumby also has six candidates for the village’s four councillor positions, three of them incumbents.

Enderby voters had two choices for mayor: two-term incumbent Greg McCune and Huck Galbraith, with eight candidates seeking six spots on council, including four incumbents.

Armstrong‘s new mayor will be Joe Cramer, who will replace 14-year mayor Chris Pieper, after running unopposed. There are ten people running for council (three incumbents), with six seats up for grabs.

Spallumcheen will see Christine Fraser serve another four years as mayor after being acclaimed to her second term. There are seven candidates for the township’s six council positons including all six incumbents.
