Traffic change near Coldstream’s new hall and childcare centre

Jul 22, 2022 | 10:55 AM

The construction of two new public facilities on the same site in Coldstream will have a minor traffic impact for the next month or so.

As part of the new community hall and childcare centre, the District of Coldstream says traffic will be reduced to single lane on Kalamalka Road in front of Coldstream Elementary School until around Aug. 26.

The single lane traffic will be for construction periods.

Traffic control will be on site for the duration of the project.

The single lane area is shown in red on the map below.

Federal and provincial grants of just over $5-milllion are funding the projects.

The new hall will provide space for community and private events of up to 200 people while the childcare centre, to be operated by Maven Lane, will create 84 childcare spaces.
