Donations Support Mental Health Programs

CMHA Vernon still short of its Season of Giving goal

Dec 9, 2021 | 2:45 PM

With just 12 days left in the Season of Giving campaign, the Vernon and District branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is asking people to shop local and to make small donations to support local mental health initiatives while doing so.

The fundraising campaign, which launched on November 15 and runs to December 20, involves having ‘Tip Tap’ machines set up at select local businesses. These machines allow people to tap their debit card and donate $2 automatically, and can be tapped up to 10 times, allowing for a maximum donation of $20.

Since its launch, the CMHA’s Season of Giving campaign has raised $4,136.

While the organization says the support is overwhelming, they still hope to hit the original goal of $10,000.

CMHA asks that people visit the local businesses involved in the program and make a donation to the Season of Giving campaign

  • Nolan’s Pharmasave

The money raised through the Season of Giving Campaign will be used to fund CMHA Vernon’s local mental health programs and services.
