Boil Water Notice issued for Grindrod Water Utility

A Boil Water Notice has been issued for users of the Grindrod Water Utility in Electoral Area F.

The Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) said high turbidity, or particulate matter, in the river is due to recent storm activity. The high levels led to reduced efficiency at the water treatment plant and triggered the issuing of the Boil Water Notice.

Residents in the rural Enderby area connected to the Grindrod Water Utility are advised to boil all water intended for consumption for at least a full minute before:

• Drinking
• Preparing any foods
• Washing fruits and vegetables
• Making beverages or ice
• Brushing teeth
• Preparing infant formula
