Water Quality Advisory Rescinded

Water Quality Advisories for Lakeview, Rose Valley lifted

Sep 29, 2021 | 4:46 PM

The water quality advisory for Lakeview-Rose Valley Water Service Area has been rescinded.

The advisory was issued on Sept. 3 due to above average turbidity caused by seasonal breakdown of algae.

The turbidity has since subsided in the Rose Valley Reservoir and within the distribution network.

There are no longer any water quality advisories or boil water notices in effect in West Kelowna.

Meanwhile construction on the Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant is underway. Once that work is done the plant will be able to provide clean drinking water to roughly 18,000 residents in the Lakeview, Prtichard/Sunnyside and West Kelowna Estates Water Systems.
