Kelowna Salvation Army seeking donations to support wildfire evacuees

The Salvation Army in Kelowna/Lake Country has been assisting evacuees from the nearby wildfires, and is calling on the public to do their part to help.

The Salvation Army has been supporting the local Emergency Support Services reception centre since mid-June, which is now being flooded with evacuees from the Glenrosa area due to the Mt. Law fire.

As operations to support the evacuees are ongoing, the public is being asked to chip in and support these individuals through donations to the non-profit organization.

The Salvation Army is accepting donations of goods such as clothing and small household goods, which can be dropped off at the thrift store at 200 Rutland Rd S.
