Part of Vernon street closing for two weeks for reconstruction project
The City of Vernon is closing part of 30th Street for two weeks starting today (August 16), as part of a major reconstruction project.
The work includes replacement of the road, sidewalk, water main, storm sewer and sanitary sewer at the intersection of 30th St and 37th Ave. by the former Civic Arena,
Improved street lighting, safety improvements at the rail crossing, and building a new sidewalk are also part of the upgrades.
Starting today, 30th Street will be closed for two weeks, between the roundabout at 39th Avenue and the intersection at 35th Avenue.
