Vernon business rolls out the laughs with comedy night
Laughter is the best medicine, and a huge dose is being prescribed to combat the blues of dealing with a pandemic over the past 18 months.
Teaming up with Kelowna Comedy, the Roster Sports Club Bar & Grill is rolling out the laughs with two shows on Saturday, August 21.
“This past-year-and-a-half has been a tough one for many people and I think we can all use some laughter. We are thrilled to team up with Kelowna Comedy to bring the laughs to The Roster and are hoping to offer comedy on a more regular basis,” said club owner Hussein Hollands. “We had offered a comedy show through FunnyFest out of Calgary last year and it was a real hit, but really wanted to work with a local comedy business.”
Boosting immune systems with some laughs will be Stuart Jones, self-proclaimed adult nerd who comes from a nice, loving family. He is everything that you would expect someone named Stuart to be. His comedy focuses on examining the mundane and mocking the everyday absurdities of modern life. Stuart is often praised for his joke writing ability which earned him the title of Vancouver’s first Roast Battle Champion. His debut album ‘By the Slice’ was produced by 604 Records and is available on all streaming platforms.
