Mission cancels golf tournament

The Upper Room Mission in Vernon has had to cancel its upcoming fundraising event.

“After much consideration and discourse, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone our inaugural Upper Room Mission golf tournament due to the evolving public health crisis,” said Parker Crook, media and events coordinator. “Thank you so much for your time and consideration.”

The non-profit social agency was planning a charity golf tournament on May 22.
