UPDATE March 16

This was the response provided by Vernon RCMP Const. Kelly Brett, media relations, in response to inquiries from Vernon Matters:.

Brett could find no files connected to that part of the downtown during the evening hours of March 13.

“It could have been just as simple as a traffic stop or a member who needed assistance during a stop,” said Brett.
