Community Expo put on hold due to virus concerns

Mar 12, 2020 | 2:38 PM

The second annual Community Expo set for this Saturday at Kal Tire Place North in Vernon will not go ahead as planned.

The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce event has been postponed to a future date due to coronavirus concerns.

“We were extremely excited to host Community Expo as it’s a great showcase of local businesses, nonprofits and government agencies. However, our roots in Vernon are deep and we put community first.
We take the concerns about health and safety seriously,” Krystin Kempton, the chamber president, said.

“We want to thank our vendors for their understanding during this challenging process, and we also want to thank the City of Vernon and event installation services for their advice and support.”
