Vernon drug house put out of business
A suspected Vernon drug house was shut down with one man facing trafficking charges.
Police said the house in the 3400 block of 32nd Avenue, just west of the Beach Radio building, was the focus of numerous complaints about suspected drug dealing and other activity.
“The investigation led to the arrest of a 31-year-old Vernon male for the possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking,” Const. Kelly Brett, RCMP media relations officer, said. “Following his arrest, a search warrant was executed at the problem premise which was occupied by seven people. Search of the location resulted in the seizure of evidence relating to drug trafficking.”
Witnesses say police arrived at the house with their guns drawn and also had a police dog team on hand.
