Vehicle goes over embankment and into driveway

Feb 13, 2020 | 9:46 AM

Slippery conditions were a factor in a two-vehicle crash that saw a vehicle go over an embankment and into a Vernon yard Wednesday evening.

RCMP said a vehicle travelling north on Pleasant Valley Road fish tailed on an icy road surface around 5:30 p.m., crossing the centre line and crashing into an oncoming vehicle.

“The northbound vehicle then went over an embankment on the west side of the road and rolled to the driveway of a residence in the 5000 block of Pleasant Valley Road,” Cpl. Tania Finn of Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP said.

There were no reported injuries and alcohol was not a factor.
