UPDATE: Man falls off roof, taken to hospital

Reports say the man has been released from hospital and is back home.

Emergency personnel were called to a report of a man falling off a roof in Vernon Tuesday morning.

A spokesperson for B.C. Emergency Health Services said ambulance staff responded to the 3400 block of 21st Avenue just after 10 a.m. for a report of a person falling from the roof of a building.

“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene. Paramedics cared for one patient and transported them to hospital in serious condition,” Sarah Morris with B.C. Emergency Health Services’ media relations, said.
