‘It’ll be a musical journey:’ Angelique Francis Quartet to perform in Vernon
Get ready for a rhythm and blues show — and a whole lot more.
The Angelique Francis Quartet will be performing live for the Vernon Folk-Roots Music Society on Saturday, January 18 at the Prestige Vernon Lodge and Conference Centre. She’ll be accompanied by Kharincia Francis on baritone sax and vocals, David Williamson on electric guitar and Kiran Francis on drums.
This will be Angelique’s first tour in British Columbia and she’s thrilled to be bringing an eclectic show to the Okanagan.
“I like to call our style a type of ‘blues fusion’,” she explained. “We mix, weave and infuse different genres with the blues — and that includes roots, jazz, folk, rock, soul, r&b — along with the blues to create our own unique style. You’ll get a very wide range and mixture that fits together in a fun, cohesive way.”
