Precautionary water quality notice lifted

A precautionary water quality notice in place for weeks for Greater Vernon water users has been lifted.

The Regional District of the North Okanagan says water is back to being treated with both UV and the Duteau Creek Water Treatment plant.

A precautionary water advisory was put in place on Nov. 19 after a leak was detected at the Duteau Creek UV facility on Oct. 31.

All water users are still receiving water from Duteau Creek.

The Kalamalka water source remains shut off, while crews work to make the Kal Lake Pump House water resistant.
