Over 200 animals find homes during adoption event
The B.C. SPCA’s second annual province-wide adoption event has helped 212 animals find their forever homes.
The event — called Fall Head Over Tails in Love on Nov. 9 — saw most of the pets in SPCA care (including dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, rats and guinea pigs) eligible for 50 per cent off the adoption fee and B.C. Pet registry fee.
Two animals were adopted from the Vernon branch and 10 from Kelowna’s.
The North Peace branch had the highest number of adoptions – 17 including 14 kittens and three dogs. The Vancouver branch had the second highest
numbers with 15 adoptions including five cats, seven kittens, one dog and two rabbits.
