Update: Missing woman found dead

RCMP say a Vernon woman reported as missing Tuesday has been found dead.

The body of 50-year-old Carissa Caron was found on Wednesday.

Police say the cause of death is not considered suspicious at this time.

“The BC Coroners Service is involved in the investigation,” said Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP is requesting the public’s help in locating a missing Vernon woman.

Carissa Caron was last seen October 29, 2019. She is described as the following:

• Caucasian female
• 50 years old
• 5-4 (163 cm)
• 198 lbs (89 kg)
• brown hair
• hazel eyes
