Fuhr falls in Kelowna Lake Country

Tracy Gray has retaken the Kelowna-Lake Country riding for the federal Conservative Party defeating incumbent Liberal Stephen Fuhr.

With more than 34,000 votes counted and 115 of 231 polls in, results showed:

Tracy Gray – CON – 15,994

Stephen Fuhr – LIB – 11,335

Justin Kulik – NDP – 3,924

Travis Ashley – GRN – 2,477

John Barr – PPC – 657

The Liberal presence in the Okanagan has been wiped out.

The Canadian Press is projecting a Conservative win in the Kelowna-Lake Country riding.

Liberal incumbent Stephen Fuhr had been hoping to win a second term in Ottawa but polls show the Conservatives are set to retake the riding.

With 30 of 231 polls reported, Conservative candidate Tracy Gray is in a commanding lead with 4,728 votes followed by Fuhr with 3,108.

In third place in Justin Kulik with 959 votes while Travis Ashley of the Greens has 684.

8:11 p.m.

The Conservative candidate is showing some strong early results in the Kelowna Lake Country riding.

Former Kelowna councillor Tracy Gray is leading incumbent Liberal Stephen Fuhr 1,1,90 votes to Fuhr’s 672 with 4 of 231 polls reporting.

In third is Justin Kulik of the NDP while Travis Ashley of the Greens is fourth.
