121st IPE promises to celebrate their roots

Oct 21, 2019 | 1:14 PM

Get ready for another year of fun.

The Interior Provincial Exhibition in Armstrong has unveiled its theme for the 121st event next year which organizers promise will get down to their roots – vegetable roots that is — with the theme “Our Roots Run Deep.”

“We are celebrating everything vegetables in 2020,” said General manager Yvonne Paulson. “It’s kind of a big dill for us! It’s thyme to turnip the beet! Lettuce celebrate! Plans are under way for a great fair in 2020.”

To mark the occasion, the IPE is offering special ticket bundles for rodeo and gate events on Wednesday, Sept. 2 and Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020.

People purchasing family bundle tickets for gate and rodeo events on Wednesday and Thursday can save $75. The family bundle pass supplies four gate admission tickets and four rodeo tickets.

Individual Rodeo events are also on sale for just $10 a seat on Wednesday and Thursday.

Those also hoping to snag pre-sale family passes can also save a few bucks. The IPE announced they are dropping the price from $35 to $30.

Tickets go on sale Friday, October 25, 2019.
