More students than expected

There are more students than expected in School District 83 classrooms.

North Okanagan-Shuswap District Superintendent Peter Jory says enrolment at the end of September was 6,433 full-time students, an increase of 48 from projections and 82 more than the previous school year.

Jory said the biggest surprise was at Sorrento Elementary which saw an increase of 26 students.
