Update

Police say a collision between a vehicle and a cyclist in Vernon was the biker’s fault.

Mounties responded to a collision between a bicycle and pickup truck in the 5300 block of 25th Avenue around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday.

“The investigation showed that the bicyclist had entered the intersection contrary to rules of the road and struck the pickup truck,” said Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy, Media Relations Officer.

The cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries while the truck driver was not hurt.

“No charges were laid by police,” Noseworthy added.
