A man is facing possible assault charges after an alleged incident during setup for a trail race in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park.
Police say two race volunteers encountered a man removing markers from the course the afternoon of Sept. 11, and when confronted, the suspect assaulted one of the volunteers.
“Race organizers had permission by B.C. Parks to utilize flags and markers for the 100 km race within the provincial park boundaries,” RCMP Const. Kelly Brett said.
The victim sustained no physical injuries, and a 59-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested, with no charges laid as of yet.
