Pallet fire sparked behind Honda dealership

BX Swan Lake fire crews quickly moved in to put out a small fire Tuesday evening behind the Bannister Honda dealership on Pleasant Valley Road.

Fire chief Bill Wacey told Vernon Matters that when crews arrived they found a pallet and other materials engulfed in flames shortly after 6:10 p.m.

“A pallet, a bunch of 45 litre gallon drums of oil, and antifreeze was on fire along beside a 200 gallon used motor oil tank,” Wacey said.

Police were called to the scene to assist and together they deemed the blaze as non-suspicious in nature.
