Fire crews douse car fire near Fulton Secondary

A 1964 Oldsmobile reportedly bought by a man just two weeks ago erupted into flames Tuesday afternoon near the parking lot of Clarence Fulton Secondary.

” I was just pulling out to go to the grocery store and I saw flames under the car, the gentleman just got out and he was trying to call 9-1-1 , he couldn’t get ahold of them so I called 9-1-1,” said witness Lolly Barr.

“There were flames coming out though the bottom of the motor onto the ground and obviously the motor was on fire,” she added.

Barr said she tried to grab her fire extinguisher but realized that it was not working.
