RCMP seek witnesses to knife assault at party

A man is in hospital with serious stab wounds after an incident at an outdoor party near Enderby.

“On August 2, 2019, just before 4 a.m.,the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon where one male victim was allegedly stabbed at a local pit-party in the rural Enderby area. After the incident occurred the injured male was transported closer to the City of Enderby by friends, where they were met by emergency first responders. BC Ambulance Service treated the male, for what appeared to be serious stab wounds, and transported him to the nearest medical facility,” said RCMP Const. Kelly Brett.

The injured 43 year old West Kelowna man is expected to recover.

Police have not made any arrests and are asking any witnesses to come forward.

“Vernon North Okanagan RCMP’s, rural General Investigative unit has assumed conduct of the investigation, which remains in the preliminary stages. Given the extent of the victims’ injuries police are seeking additional information surrounding the events leading up to the incident.”
