Car fire at dog park

BX Swan Lake fire crews quickly doused a car fire at the BX dog park Tuesday evening.

Fire Chief Bill Wacey said the blaze started around 7 p.m.

“A homeowner got out of their car and walked into the park and a few minutes later somebody noticed smoke coming out of the front of the vehicle,” Wacey said.

“We arrived to find the car fully engulfed at the front end of the car,” he added.

Police arrived on scene as part of standard procedure, but the fire is not suspicious and no one is believed to be hurt.
