One crash caused another on the Trans Canada Highway near Salmon Arm.
Police say a pickup truck trying to turn right onto Old Hatchery Road was rear-ended by a semi truck last Thursday afternoon, causing neck injuries to the pickup driver.
“The driver of the semi truck was served a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act at the scene,” said Staff Sgt. Scott West of Salmon Arm RCMP.
That crash produced a highway closure that led to another crash where a driver making a U-turn to avoid the lineup collided with another vehicle, with no injuries.
