Swimming not recommended at Kin Beach

People are being advised not to go swimming at Vernon’s Kin Beach.

According to a release from the City of Vernon, it’s due to higher than permitted bacterial counts and adverse weather conditions.

Water quality advisory signs are posted at the site on Okanagan Lake.

“The water quality for the beach will continue to be monitored and the public will be advised when it is safe to resume swimming in the area,” the release said.
